2004 RX-8 with SUPER LOW MILEAGE. Very well cared for, meticulous records kept on regular maintenance and servicing. Recently replaced in 2018 high performance clutch kit including flywheel and slave cylinder. Also, replaced entire exhaust system with an Agency Power Ti High Performance Catback stainless steel exhaust assembly which features a true dual muffler setup with titanium 4" tips. The system utilizes T304 stainless steel 3" piping TIG welded with ½" thick flanges and durable hangars. It includes a dual resonated mid-pipe, greatly increasing both horsepower and torque! The exhaust has a lifetime warranty. This performance upgrade included iridium and platinum leading and trailing plugs, ignition wires and coil, oxygen sensor, and crank position sensor. OEM specifications are 232 horesepower at a stratospheric 9,000 rpm, propelling the RX-8 to 60 mph in about 7 seconds flat. An estimate for the additional hp and torque is > 5%, putting this car at 244 hp @ 9k rpm! Most people know that Mazda builds sporty cars. But for driving enthusiasts, it's the history of building sports cars with lightweight rotary engines that sets it apart from the competition. The Mazda RX-8 was one of these, and it was the only one with a four-door configuration. The heart of the Mazda RX-8 is the high-revving 1.3-liter rotary engine. Because of the engine's compact size, engineers were able to mount it farther back in the RX-8's chassis, giving the car a coveted 50-50 front-rear weight distribution. This, along with balanced suspension tuning, sharp steering and a svelte 3,000-pound curb weight, made the rear-wheel-drive RX-8 one of the best-handling cars ever made. Ebay took my listing down twice because the vehicle history shows it as having a salvage history, so I'm categorizing it as salvage, but the current title this car comes with is CLEAN & UNBRANDED. PM me with any questions about the car. Low mileage, 6 speed manual transmission, BRAND NEW PROFESSIONALLY BUILT ENGINE, running and driving car. Clean NY title. Registered and up-to-date safety inspection. Road legal car. Over $20,000 into this car in upgrades to date. The car has a salvage history. Its accident damage was only to the front right fender and bumper. That has been fully repaired. It has a clean/unbranded NY title. Thinking this was a mistake, I double checked with the DMV, and they sent me SECOND clean title after I informed them of its salvage history. From what I know the car was originally totaled out by insurance for $1200 of body damage around 2013. Google the vin and you can see the extent of the damage, very minor accident. Only bumper and fender damage. Vehicle accident history reflects this fact. Original salvage title the car came with was from NJ. I purchased this beautiful car in February, 2017 from Fox Valley Buick GMC located in St. Charles, Illinois. The car was very well maintained by its original owner. I believe I am just the second owner. I have put less than 1,000 miles on it while I've owned it. The Metropolitan Gray Mica paint has a lot of metallic in it and really shines in the sunlight. The Cosmo Red interior is more of a rust color than orange. The exterior is in overall very good condition with a blemish on the driver's side rear view mirror, some superficial scratches in the trunk lid and a small ding on the roof. The interior is extremely clean. The only notable flaw is that the plastic insert on top of the shift lever is loose. All wheels have some "curb rash" but overall they are in very good condition. The tires appear to be new and have a lot of wear left. Everything on the car is stock. I've been adding some 2-stroke motor oil to the gasoline during fill-ups to help keep the seals lubricated.
